The Hobbymaster News, coming at you with a brand new garish yellow-and-oragne theme based off the new Guilds of Ravnica! Do you hate it as much as I do?
The PPTQ went pretty well, with 44 sign ups! The DBS Oceania Regionals wasn't to be left behind too much though, with 41 players. The Age of Sigmar: Labyrinth of Eternity ran without a hitch, as well as the surprise event coming from the Final Fantasy Wave 2 Regional! 9 players was a pretty good showing, but the miscommunication behind the scenes was unfortunately too much for much of showing. Thanks to everyone who did come out for it, hope you had fun!
Lots of new things coming in with the Guilds of Ravnica release. D&D supplements, random Guild Decks, Guild boosters - they're really trying to cash in on the Ravnica stuff, huh? Here's hoping its as fun as it seems! Brawl seems super fun with the new legends, though the losing all the other stuff is a little sad. Commander gets a small boost, and Modern gets some shiny new toys!
The prerelease kits are going to be guild themed, and you'll be able to pick out which one you want on the day. There are only 10 of each Guild per flight though, and its first come first served, so make sure to be in early on the day!
FFTCG, alongside DBS and other games all have new sets coming out soon... pretty exciting all around!
The next wargaming tournament we're hosting with the Auckland Model Citizens is HIVE HARD. Get ready for 40,000 years of sheer excitement on Hive Hesketh!
In other news, MTG World Championship was on this weekend. Who knew?
