23 SECONDS

At the beginning of the Flashpoint Cycle, 23 Seconds provides us our first glimpses of the Android world after the Twenty-Three Seconds incident. Wounded and desperate, the corps act more aggressively than ever. Even as Runners try to take advantage of the chaos, the corps begin to implement extremely powerful often hostile ice and operations that come with trash costs. And as the bodies start piling up, they unleash new Terminal operations that are so powerful they immediately drain the Corp's remaining clicks once they're played. Trillions of credits, millions of lives, and the survival of the world's largest megacorps the 60 new cards in 23 Seconds (three copies each of twenty different cards) ensure that the stakes in the Flashpoint Cycle are as high as they've ever been. Amid the chaos, who will be the first to emerge with a semblance of control? Will it be you?

NETRUNNER: UNDERCITY NOVELLA

Javier Zamora used to be a real journalist, with all the perks of working for NBN. Now, he vids scandalous, fringe, and downright disgusting content for a less mainstream corner of the Net. His stories draw an audience, at least enough of one to fund his life in the undercity. Or they used to, anyway. When Zamora stumbles on evidence of a serial killer stalking the undercity, he thinks it might be his ticket back to journalistic respect— or at least a steady revenue stream. But as the investigation draws him into a sordid world of underground cage fights and blackmail scams, the notorious Los Scorpiones gang warns him to drop the story. Faced with the choice between abandoning the story of his career or antagonizing a dangerous criminal cartel, Zamora must tread carefully if he wants to keep his creds, his life, and maybe even his integrity. Fantasy Flight Games is proud to present Undercity: A Javier Zamora Novella by Richard Lee Byers! This page-turning adventure explores the dark center of the Android Universe, as Javier Zamora risks life-and-limb to find the perfect story!

CRIMSON DUST

Corporations and Runners. Colonists and Clans. The Martian Colonial Authority and The Free Mars Movement—there are a lot of intersecting interests on Mars, and even more that conflict.  And then there’s the Crimson Dust. The Crimson Dust teaches that human life originated on Mars before colonizing Earth. Its members believe that their leader, Vasanti Smith, is the reincarnation of one of the first settlers on Mars. They believe in Martian independence, and they believe in augmenting human bodies with g-mods and cybernetics that allow them to endure the Red Planet’s atmosphere. They also believe that would-be martyrs armed with Taejo monofilament wire bombs can sneak past the security in most nodes and inflict tremendous damage on their protective domes.  Unfortunately, they’re right about that last one.  The first five data packs in the Red Sand cycle explored the forces that are vying for control of Mars, what they hope to gain from the Red Planet, and how far they’ll go to get it. The sixty new cards (three copies each of twenty different cards) in Crimson Dust look at the consequences of this enduring conflict, which has taken lives, destroyed homes, and left an entire world vulnerable to extremists.

NETRUNNER: BLOOD AND WATER

Everyone knows that the Big Four want control over Mars to boost their profits. But what can Mars offer that’s profitable enough to justify the enormous expenses of terraforming a barren, irradiated desert? What’s valuable enough to warrant shipping supplies across the solar system and fighting with the entrenched Clans?  On Mars, as the newest Agendas for each faction demonstrate that HB, Jinteki, NBN, and Weyland can take their goals much farther than they can on Earth. Away from the regulations of national governments and the incessant monitoring of citizen journalists, these corporations are able to pursue their most extreme ideas with impunity. And now, as the Big Four are growing confident enough about their power over the Red Planet to pursue their wildest agendas, it's time for the Clans to choose their path. Will they band together to oppose the MCA or will they let old feuds tear them apart? The corporations say that they can bring water to Mars, but whose blood will pay for it?  The sixty new cards (three copies each of twenty different cards) of Blood and Water reveal the corporations’ plans for Mars and give the Clans, along with their netrunning allies, a chance to stop them

QUORUM

"The Twenty-Three Seconds and the… unpleasantness that followed are in the past. We should concern ourselves with the future. I think we’ll find a solution that will let us all get back to business as usual. Who knows? We might even find a way to come out ahead."     –Mayor Wells The Flashpoint Cycle of Data Packs for Android: Netrunner has been full of desperate and violent Corps. Now, at the end of the cycle, as the U.S. government threatens to strip New Angeles of its privileges as a special commerce zone, Quorum gives us sixty new cards (three copies each of twenty different cards) that focus on getting back to business as usual. That means you'll find the Corps investing in their futures, deploying advanced new economic operations, bribing powerful and highly connected politicians, and layering their servers with brand new ice. It's not just the Corps that are eager to end the violence and get back to business. Still, what you want to do and what you need to aren't always the same thing. In the wake of the Twenty-Three Seconds incident and the ensuing devastation, you'll still find the game's Anarchs looking to burn things down, even as the Criminals double their efforts to work undetected and the game’s Shapers show off their newest tricks.

NETRUNNER: EARTH'S SCION

Who will control Mars? Every twenty-four hours and forty minutes, the Big Four insinuate more of their products, services, management, and agendas into every aspect of Martian life, and in Earth's Scion, the third Data Pack in the Red Sand Cycle for Android: Netrunner, we watch as their presence spreads more fully across the whole of the red planet. Can the runners who migrated across the solar system for a taste of freedom push back against this corporate expansion? And what role will the Martian Clans play? Will they trade generations of grudges and tradition for easy corporate credits? Will they feed vital information to buccaneering net jockeys? Or will they play both sides against each other? With fewer resources to go around, all factions must experiment more and play it less safe. The biggest question is—what are you prepared to sacrifice? The sixty new cards (three copies each of twenty different cards) of Earth’s Scion reveal how far some factions are willing to go in order to see their vision for Mars come to pass.

UP AND OVER

A lot of your standard Runner tricks don't work on the moon. The Corps have the place locked down tight. Wave fields may fry your brain. Ice may change shape on you mid-run. Corps expand and contract their servers at will. It's a tricky environment for any Runner to navigate, and the further you remain from your target, the more likely you'll be caught off-guard.   Up and Over is the fourth Data Pack in the "Lunar Cycle" for Android: Netrunner. A search for the mysterious "source code" leads the game's Runners to the shadiest edges of Heinlein, the moon's only established city. The sixty cards in Up and Over (three copies each of twenty different cards) explore the city's Docklands, where even coordinated corporate crackdowns won't necessarily ferret out every black marketeer willing to provide Runners with a steady supply of illicit technology. In this new environment, to survive you must adapt. Thankfully illicit dealers will supply anything to anyone...for the right price.

After a series of thrilling encounters with Corporate security measures and security officers, all he has to do is pull up the files.   At the end of your lunar expedition, the sixty new cards in The Source (three copies each of twenty different cards) reveal surprising new takes on life, evolution, and death in the virtual world and the cyberstruggles of Android: Netrunner. You’ll find assets that reward Corps for birthing new servers and others that can self-destruct. You’ll find self-propagating viruses waiting to explode into the network, and you’ll find programs that reward you for jacking out of your runs.

THE SPACES BETWEEN

"All code is just input designed to process output. Used properly, lag is static, and static is another form of code." –Tori Hanzo   The Spaces Between, the second Data Pack in the "Lunar Cycle" for Android: Netrunner, continues to reestablish the game's cyberstruggles amid the moon's reduced gravity, recycled air, and corporate-sponsored colonies, simultaneously re-examining one of the game's fundamental conceits: What happens to events and operations after they're played? Events and operations represent a variety of ephemeral processes that occur both in the meat world and the virtual one. When they hit the discard pile, do their impacts just disappear? Or if they transmit signals into space, might their echoes ever linger, gain a sort of permanence in their repetition, and impact future events?   The sixty new cards from The Spaces Between (three copies each of twenty different cards), re-examine the essential natures of the game's events and operations, and every faction gains a new current, an event or operation that isn't immediately resolved and discarded after it's played, but continues to reside in the data streams somewhere between a state of transience and a state of permanence.

BUSINESS FIRST

Business First is the second Data Pack in the Mumbad Cycle for Android: Netrunner. Passions flare and Jinteki faces a game-changing crisis as the issue of clone rights rises to prominence during the Indian Union's national elections. With its sixty new cards (including a complete playset of nineteen different cards), Business First explores the tensions and conflicts within this tumultuous environment. Horror stories begin to emerge about the treatment of Jinteki's clones, and you'll find the Corp's public relations division drawing attention to its work with sustainable foods while Haas-Bioroid seeks to capitalize upon the scrutiny directed toward its rival by showcasing its own advanced assembly lines and smartfabrics. However, the question of clone rights doesn't end with these two megacorps, and you'l find new cards for each of the game's seven factions. Naturally, their responses to the situation at hand vary as wildly their motivations, and you'll find bomb threats, elaborate raids, and populist rallies. What will result from the Indian Union's exploration of clone rights and Jinteki's Business First mentality? Will the clones be granted citizenship? Or will Corporate sales teams help Jinteki successfully rebrand their efforts and lead everyone back to business as usual?

ESCALATION

Escalation is the third Data Pack in the Flashpoint Cycle for Android: Netrunner, and its sixty new cards (three copies each of twenty different cards) explore New Angeles in the wake of the Twenty-Three Seconds incident. The city has plunged into chaos. The chaos has led to rioting. Amid the rioting, people have died. Some died on the streets, in bloody encounters with PriSec. Some died quietly, targeted by assassins. Some simply disappeared. Yanked off the grid in an age when the act of skirting surveillance and the ever-present Network is nearly—but not completely—impossible.   Carrying us deeper into this chaos and the tensions pulling New Angeles apart at the seams, Escalation offers a look at Corps more aggressively locking down their assets and hunt down their rivals. Runners gain new decoders and new incentive to uncover and reveal the truth of the Corps' activities. But amid the escalating tensions, if the Runners hack the Corps, can they still survive? There's plenty of meat damage, net damage, and brain damage on the menu, along with cards that make utter trash of the Runner's rig and stack.   Finally, Escalation unveils two new, aggressively-minded identity cards—one for Jinteki, and one for the Anarchs that started the whole mess.
