GENESTEALER CULTS: ABOMINANT

Key Features

  • Armed with a power sledgehammer and rending claw

  • A melee-specialist Elites choice for Genestealer Cults armies

A champion amongst the mutant aberrants of the cult, the Abominant is a misshapen wrecking ball of muscle and chitin that wields a heavy bludgeoning instrument as if it weighs no more than a switch of willow. Only when the roaring, demented brute crushes all before it in a spasmodic frenzy, crying out in a mixture of anger, pain and self-loathing, does the true horror of its existence become clear. It is guided by a Mindwyrm Familiar, a diminutive bio-psychic construct that is given life in the decaying slurry found in a Patriarch's lair.

The Abominant is a devastating close combat specialist, able to deliver huge amounts of damage with his power sledgehammer and rending claw. It gives Genestealer Cults players a melee-focussed Elites choice whose Mindwyrm Familiar helps to protect it and other nearby friendly units from psychic attacks.

This pack contains a single multipart plastic miniature featuring an Abominant guided by a Mindwyrm Familiar. It comes as 11 components and is supplied with a 40mm round base.

ADEPTUS MECHANICUS: PTERAXII

One of many specialised castes of cyborg warriors available to the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Pteraxii are optimised for instinctive reaction and agility. Pteraxii’s reflexes are accentuated by paring back elements of cogitation that impede their primary function. Implanted with additional limbstumps – scapuli superior – on their back, a flight pack of thrusters and reactive life surfaces is connected to them. The flight packs become part of the Pteraxii, who serve in several roles. Skystalkers find optimal vantage points from which to pick off their targets – whether isolated battlefield marks or feral psyber familiars and servo-cherubim – with flurries of razor-sharp flechettes._____ Pteraxii Skystalkers are armed with flechette carbines, enabling them to unleash a withering storm of solid shot at their enemies from a safe distance. The unit's Alpha is instead equipped with a flechette blaster and taser goad. They offer superb anti-infantry fire support, but they also carry braces of arc grenades which they can drop among the enemy as they soar overhead._____ Pteraxii Sterylizors bear phosphor torches, deadly long-barrelled flamer weapons, and swoop down upon their prey to gouge and tear them with their Pteraxii talons. The unit's Alpha is instead equipped with a flechette blaster and taser goad. They will make an excellent close support unit for your advancing Skitarii._____ This kit can be used to build a unit of Pteraxii Sterylizors or Skystalkers, meaning that regardless of which unit you assemble, you'll end up with plenty of spare components for customising your collection. This kit is supplied in 115 plastic components and is supplied with 5 Citadel 40mm Round Bases and flying stems. Also included is an Adeptus Mechanicus transfer sheet.

ADEPTUS MECHANICUS: BELISARIUS CAWL

Archmagos Dominus Belisarius Cawl was already old at the dawn of the Imperium, over ten thousand years ago. During that span of ages the Tech-Priest has served as a Forge Lord, a Lexico Arcanus and a renowned Magos Biologis. On the battlefield Cawl is a force to be reckoned with, fearlessly scuttling into the thick of the fighting, assessing threats and broadcasting carefully planned orders to his troops. Most enemy fire is thwarted by his force field; however even when parts of his mechanised body are blown off, cables snake out in a whir of activity to effect immediate repairs, or swarm anything that dares comes close… This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble Belisarius Cawl, Prime Conduit of the Omnissiah. Towering over his Adeptus Mechanicus brethren, he stands much taller than even other favoured Tech-Priests of the Omnissiah, with countless augmentations distorting his barely-human frame. He carries an Omnissian axe, which acts as a convenient mounting point for an array of sensors and his voice broadcasting unit, and an arc scourge – this arcane energy weapon is covered in cables, sensors and extra appendages. This theme of augmentation is continued throughout – Cawl’s robes are not-quite covering a massive amount of robotic extensions, with several extra legs, prehensile arms and cables dragging along behind him. A scryerskull hovers above, and there are several symbols of the Machine God dotted about the miniature. Belisarius Cawl comes as 42 components, and is supplied with a Citadel 105mm x 70mm Oval base.
