HobbyMaster In Level 2

It’s Level 2 in New Zealand from the 14th of May, which means we can open our doors again - YAY! - albeit with some rules and guidelines to follow to ensure the safety of our team and you, our loyal customers.

The Store
We will be open for business and you can come in and browse the store as always. When you enter the store we will need to take your name, a contact email or number, and the time you entered. This is for the purposes of contact tracing only. Please while browsing maintain your bubbles.

Our store opening hours during Level 2 are:

Mon-Thurs 11am -10pm

Fri 11am - 10.30pm

Sat-Sun 10am - 6pm

Gaming in the Store
As we are a retail venue, we are allowed to operate gaming once again in the store but at a much reduced capacity than usual to maintain the bubbles of gamers in the space. As we will be tracking details of all customers and gamers, the recommended bubble is 1 meter. However if you are in a vulnerable category, or have close family that are vulnerable, you may wish to hold off playing in store until more govt advice is given.

We will only be running casual games for the foreseeable future. No organised leagues, tournament, campaigns etc. We are not allowed to run MTG in any form but casual play until 1 June in accordance with WPN guidelines.

To further maintain bubbles, we will only be allowing 1 on 1 games for now. And finally, due to the no sharing equipment rules (see below), card games that encourage swapping such as MTG Draft will not be played in store. You can see all the events we are running here.

Wargames will be allowed to play but we request players book their tables in advance along with their opponent. We have 6 permanent wargames tables but please note, we are not holding any in reserve for clubs until further notice. Please book your tables for any day you prefer. To book a table book using our Google booking sheet or ring the store during open hours at (09) 526 5068.

The following rules for gaming at HobbyMaster will be strictly adhered to and are designed to keep all gamers as safe as is possible.
