Events Refund Policy

Event Refunds Instore and Online:
If due to unforeseen circumstance you are unable to attend an event, refunds for event registrations will only be issued until 7 days prior to the event date and will generally be issued as Hobby Master Events in-store credit*.

No shows:
As all entry fees go towards prize support and other administration costs of the events, there are strictly no refunds on events that a player has failed to attend due to any circumstance. Registration for events are only for events held at the Hobby Master Event Center in Penrose. 
 
Refunds within the 7 days period:
We understand issues such as medical emergency/covid self-isolation, family emergency or other events beyond control occur. If you can no longer attend an event within the week prior to the event please contact the Hobby Master Events team to let us know as soon as you can. In certain circumstances we may choose to refund players within the 7 days prior to an event. Note these refunds are discretionary and we will only consider emergency criteria as grounds for refund.
 
For example; double booking oneself, not having your miniatures completed in time for the event, not bringing the correct cards to an event, or simply changing of one's mind, would not be grounds for a refund. However illness, family illness, child care falling through or other such emergencies would constitute cause to be refunded.
 
Event Cancellations or date changes:
On very rare occasions an event may be required to either change date or in exceptional circumstances, be cancelled. If an event date is changed or an event cancelled for any reason, ticket holders will be contacted and refunds arranged should they be requested. Hobby Master accepts no liability for travel costs incurred should an event date be altered such as flights or accomodation costs.
 
On-selling of tickets:
We do allow players to on-sell their event entries. However the owner of the event entry, that is, the person who bought the ticket originally must inform us of their intent and who they will be selling their ticket to and pass on any relevant contact information. Hobby Master accepts no liabilty for event entries that are on-sold.
 
*Web store credit is also available by request, if you require your instore credit to be online store credit, please indicate this when you contact us.
