BATTLETOME: SLAVES TO DARKNESS (AOS 3)

Key Features

  • An essential guide for collectors of the Slaves to Darkness

  • Packed with loads of warscrolls for a massive variety of units, rules, and abilities

  • A sinister smorgasbord of background information, twisted artwork, painting guides, and more

The Slaves to Darkness pursue power at any cost. They’ve sold their souls to the Dark Gods in order to forge a path to supremacy, and their ill-gotten strength makes them a terrifying force indeed. Ironclad champions and diabolical sorcerers lead warbands of madmen, mutants, and monsters to savage every foe they encounter, offering each death as tribute to their fickle and demanding masters. In turn they are richly rewarded, though the gifts bestowed by the gods are not always what was asked for…

This book is a must-have for every general who wants to conquer the Mortal Realms with the Slaves to Darkness. Not only will you find a rich history and background extolling the dark virtues of these most heinous warriors, and macabre art to inspire you, you’ll also find everything you need to play them in your games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

ADEPTUS MECHANICUS: SERBERYS RAIDERS

To be promoted from the Skitarii maniples to the Serberys corps is a great honour. They ride swift quadrupedal constructs whose razor-clawed limbs allow them to manoeuvre easily over the most shattered terrain, while their riders are mag-locked in gyro-stabilised positions. Serberys Raiders are long-range scouts and outriders. They excel at outflanking enemy forces and picking off unprotected assets. Advanced ocular arrays implanted into the riders’ skulls are noospherically linked with their mounts, ensuring maximum accuracy, while finely calibrated olfactory sensors and a suite of sensitive augury equipment make them dogged and feared trackers. Serberys Raiders are well equipped for combat at every distance, with galvanic carbines offering ranged punch and finely crafted cavalry sabres for melee combat. The squad’s alpha is also armed with a hard-hitting archeo-revolver. They make for a versatile vanguard unit, able to ride ahead of their fellow Skitarii and even snipe at enemy command assets. This kit can alternatively be used to build a unit of Serberys Sulphurhounds instead, meaning that regardless of which unit you assemble, you'll end up with plenty of spare components for customising your collection. This kit is supplied in 103 plastic components with which to assemble three models, each supplied with a Citadel 60mm x 35mm Oval Bases. Also included is an Adeptus Mechanicus transfer sheet.

FYRESLAYERS: AURIC HEARTHGUARD / HEARTHGUARD BERZERKERS

Elite, trusted custodians of a lodge’s magma-vault, Auric Hearthguard have the honour of protecting the ur-gold earned by their brothers - and therefore guarding the spirit of Grimnir himself. They carry magmapikes; magical weapons crafted in the heart of the forge-temple, able to spew forth bolts of devastatingly hot liquid rock that sear flesh, melt armour and ignite the very air, such is their blazing heat. Enemies who survive this initial attack find themselves restricted and unable to move as the magma cools and solidifies - the Auric Hearthguard then close in and end the suffering with their bladed horns._____ Incredibly powerful elite warriors, possibly the strongest in their lodges, the Hearthguard Berzerkers are the first to heed the call of Fyreslayers’ battle horns. Filled with fiery determination, glowing with the ur-gold runes hammered into their flesh, they are eager to unleash the full fury of the Fyreslayers onto a hapless foe. Protectors of the Runefather and his sons, these relentless warriors swing their flamestrike poleaxes in massive arcs, puncturing even the strongest armour of Chaos - the attached heavy chain and flaming brazier increases the lethality of their determined assault._____ This multi-part plastic kit gives you the components necessary to build five Auric Hearthguard, armed with magmapikes and fyresteel throwing axes. Clad in minimal armour with ur-gold runes hammered into their flesh, they sport immense beards and feature mohawks poking through their ornate drake helms. One model can be assembled as a Karl, the unit’s leader, featuring a special crest and modifications to his magmapike. Alternatively, this kit can be used to assemble five Hearthguard Berzerkers, clutching double-handed berzerker broadaxes and fyresteel throwing axes. ORRUK WARCLANS: SAVAGE ORRUKS

Sometimes, orruks from the various clans in the mortal realms just sort of… wander off. Often, they end up in a Gob Rukk of the Bonesplitterz; they’ll abandon complexities of life like metal weapons and clothing, cover themselves in scrawled tattoos and lash together a basic flint spear. This might make them sound a bit primitive and weak – this is far from the case, as Savage Orruks, enthralled and driven by Waaagh! energy, band together in their hundreds to become an unstoppable avalanche of maddened green flesh, rolling across the realms and ruining everything in their path. This multi-part plastic kit contains all the parts necessary to assemble 20 Savage Orruks, armed with either chompas or stikkas and bone shields. Optionally, they can be assembled as Savage Orruk Morboys, with chompas and toof shivs, or Savage Orruk Arrowboys carrying Stinga Bows. There are options for a Boss, Bone Totem and Skull Thumpa, and the kit comes supplied with 20 Citadel 32mm Round bases.
