BLADES OF KHORNE: WRATHMONGERS / SKULLREAPERS

Lunatic murdersmiths who are feared and revered in equal measure, the Wrathmongers are absolute in their fervent devotion to Khorne. Infused with the unnatural energies of daemons, they are the elite of the Chaos tribes and are unstoppable in battle, hurling themselves at their foe with unnatural vigour as their wrath-flails describe brutal, bloody parabolas.

This multi-part plastic kit makes either five Khorne Wrathmongers or five Khorne Skullreapers. There are five sets of armoured legs (one of which is designed to look like a Bloodletter) and a choice of 10 torsos that can be used to form the basis of the models. Alongside this, there is a choice of 10 individually designed sets of armour that fit to the torso fronts with the option to add additional shoulder armour. Whichever unit type you choose to make there are enough parts to include a champion and standard bearer for either.

The Wrathmongers are each armed with a pair of wrath-flails. There are five helmeted heads and the option to distinguish the champion with the addition of a helmet designed to look like a Bloodletter’s face and a mutation in the shape of a scorpions tail.

Armed with two hand weapons, the Skullreapers have a choice of 13 individual weapons ranging from swords, axes, maces and knives, as well as the option to arm one of the models with a double-handed axe. Alternatively, they can be armed with pairs of ensorcelled weapons of which there are 8 different individual weapons, with the option for one of the models to be armed with a double-handed sword.

There are a choice of seven bare heads that sport a variety of mutations, from horns, studded foreheads and even a bestial dog face. Each Skullreaper sports a trophy rack on his back, and the Champion is distinguished by his double trophy rack.

The Khorne Wrathmongers have 97 components and are supplied with five Citadel 40mm Round bases.

ADEPTUS MECHANICUS: IRONSTRIDER

With a distinctive two-legged walking tank-shape, the artillery platform known as the Ironstrider Balistarius is a fearsome sight indeed. Gyroscopically balanced, with downlinks providing them with the sum knowledge of their enemies, the deadly accuracy of the Ironstrider Ballistarius would be the stuff of legend, were any survivors ever left to recall it. As a mobile artillery weapons platform, the Ironstrider Ballistarius can be fitted with one of two armament options: a twin-linked cognis autocannon or a twin-linked cognis lascannon. The split-toed legs can be posed in two different configurations, with suspensors that can be modelled at differing angles, and the entire surface of the machine crawls with sensors, data collection modules and antennae. The gunner has four head options; three hooded and one rebreather.   This multi-part, 80-component plastic kit contains all the parts necessary to build either one Ironstrider Ballistarius or a Sydonian Dragoon, and features a small transfer sheet and a 105x70mm oval base.

DEATH GUARD: TYPHUS

Typhus, Lord of Mortarion’s First Plague Company and Host of the Destroyer Hive, is the most feared of all Plague Fleet commanders. From his ancient ship, the Terminus Est, Typhus spreads contagion and misery across the galaxy. That Typhus has been truly blessed by Nurgle is indisputable. For ten thousand years he has been a blight on Imperial worlds; in the wake of Typhus’ fleet a virulent plague spreads, creating plague zombies whose bites carry the disease to new victims. Billions have died and been returned to undeath, as the proliferating energies of Chaos distort and mutate this disease to ever-more terrifying vectors.  This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to build Typhus, Herald of Nurgle, Host of the Destroyer Hive. This is an appropriately large model, covered head to toe in rot, pitted Cataphractii armour, skulls, Nurgle icons and spikes – there’s even room for a Nurgling to hitch a ride, clinging to his waist. He holds aloft a master-crafted manreaper, taller even than Typhus himself, which features a host of unpleasant effects of corruption and wear; it’s clearly a blade that has seen a lot of action. The chimney found on his back is belching forth a vile hive swarm with impressive effect – some of the flies bursting forth are the size of a Nurgling. Included is a scenic element to his base, as he stands with a foot resting arrogantly on some toppled Imperial masonry.  This kit comes as 15 components, and is supplied with a Citadel 50mm Round base.

TYRANIDS: VON RYAN'S LEAPERS

Von Ryan’s Leapers are swift, agile Tyranid bioforms, cunning hunters and stealth ambushers that are especially lethal when fighting in dense terrain. Packs of Leapers lie in wait like living mines, lurking at the optimum locations to cause as much damage as possible. When they sense the perfect time to strike, they burst forth to butcher all around in a murderous frenzy. This multipart plastic kit builds three Von Ryan’s Leapers, terrifying Tyranid ambush-beasts. These creatures spring from hiding to shred their unsuspecting prey using whip-fast slashes from two pairs of razor-sharp talons – including powerful mantis-like arms resembling the larger Lictor bioform. Then they feast, with a revolting combination of fangs, mandibles, and feeder tendrils. This kit contains 29 plastic components, and comes with 3x Citadel 40mm Round Hex Hole Bases. These push-fit miniatures can be assembled without glue, and are supplied unpainted – we recommend using Citadel Colour paints.

DEATH GUARD: PLAGUE MARINE ICON BEARER

Sworn to Nurgle’s service, Plague Marines have disgusting, rotted bodies that stink of decay. The putrescent slime that oozes from their sores corrodes armour and boils away skin, yet despite their horrific disfigurements they are fearsome warriors indeed. Their rotting brains are inured to the agony of bodily corruption, making them all but immune to the pain or debilitation caused by battle wounds. This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble a Plague Marine Icon Bearer. Armed with a boltgun, and carrying a plague knife strapped to his backpack, he is dragging an Icon of Despair into the fray, one shaped to resemble the symbol of Nurgle (parts of this symbol being delightfully picked out with a skull and a helmet.) His armour is cracking and rusting due to the sheer force of corruption, and horrible tentacles are oozing from gaps in his right leg. 4 krak grenades are strapped to the front of his armour and, in a lovely touch, he carries a rotting severed head attached to his belt. This kit comes as 5 components, and is supplied with a Citadel 32mm Round base.
