UNMATCHED: ROBIN HOOD VS BIGFOOT

In battle, there are no equals.

Unmatched is a highly asymmetrical miniature fighting game for two or four players. (Note that this set is solely for two players, but it can be combined with other sets, which all serve up to four players.) Each hero is represented by a unique deck designed to evoke their style and legend. Tactical movement and no-luck combat resolution create a unique play experience that rewards expertise, but just when you've mastered one set, new heroes arrive to provide all new match-ups.

Robin Hood vs. Bigfoot features the titular heroes. Robin Hood and his outlaws excel at ranged attacks and robbing from their opponents. Bigfoot and his pal, the Jackalope, crash through the forest for quick attacks before disappearing like a figment of the mind.

Combat is resolved quickly by comparing attack and defense cards. However, each card's unique effects and a simple but deep timing system lead to interesting decisions each time. The game also features an updated version of the line-of-sight system from Tannhauser for ranged attacks and area effects.

The game includes a double-sided board with two different battlefields, pre-washed miniatures for each hero, and custom life trackers that's brought to life with the stunning artwork of Oliver Barrett and the combined design teams of Restoration Games and Mondo Games.

RETURN TO DARK TOWER

For an age, the tower lay in ruins. Unbeknownst to the people of the realm, a great evil stirred in its bowels. It started with strange sightings: a flock of crows flying in circles until they dropped from the sky, the lake frozen solid in the height of summer. In time, they could not deny that which they most feared. The evil had not been vanquished. The darkness would soon fall again. The tower will rise. A "sequel" to the 1981 grail game, Return to Dark Tower is a game for 1-4 players who take the role of heroes. Together, they gather resources, cleanse buildings, defeat monsters, and undertake quests to build up their strength and discern what foe ultimately awaits them. When the heroes face the tower, the game shifts into its dramatic second act, where the players have one chance to defeat the enemy once and for all. The game features both cooperative and competitive modes of play. The game features traditional game mechanisms, such as engine building and resource management, paired with a technological interface unlike any seen before in games, including the titular tower, which holds more than a few secrets.Players: 1-4 Ages: 10+ Playing Time: 100-120 minsAwards & Honors2023 American Tabletop Strategy Games Recommended2022 Meeples Choice Award Nominee2022 Golden Geek Most Innovative Board Game Nominee2022 Golden Geek Best Thematic Board Game Nominee2022 Golden Geek Best Cooperative Game Winner2022 Golden Geek Best Cooperative Game Nominee2022 Golden Geek Best Board Game Artwork & Presentation Nominee2022 Dragon Awards Best Science Fiction or Fantasy Board Game Nominee2022 Board Game Quest Awards Game of the Year Nominee2022 Board Game Quest Awards Best Thematic Game Winner2022 Board Game Quest Awards Best Thematic Game Nominee2022 Board Game Quest Awards Best Reprint/Reimplementation Winner2022 Board Game Quest Awards Best Reprint/Reimplementation Nominee2022 Board Game Quest Awards Best Production Values Nominee

MOUNT EVEREST

Mount Everest, Earth's highest mountain - to this day it's been climbed by almost 4,000 alpinists from around the world, with more and more coming each year. Most of them are tourists without the experience or skills needed to climb an eight-thousander. Without proper help they wouldn't make it to the Himalayas, let alone brave the mighty Chomolungma.  Fortunately, that's where you come in, an experienced mountaineer and mountain guide. You've got Broad Peak, K2 and other eight-thousanders under your belt, and you've climbed Mount Everest several times. This time you face a far greater challenge: You must lead a bunch of tourists to the peak and safely get them back to base. You gaze at the mountain and you know this to be true - what is child's play for you might be the last adventure of your clients.  You must plan where to set up camp and how to deal with acclimatization, who to take up to the peak and when, and who to lead down the mountain. When you look at your clients' enthusiastic faces, you know that their lives are in your hands. In Mount Everest players take control of a team of two expert mountaineers who must lead as many tourists as they can to the peak and, of course, safely bring them back. Each player gets an identical deck of cards that are used for moving around the board. Players must decide where to set up camps and how much oxygen to bring to the top; only oxygen lets players get acclimatization cards, which allow tourists to survive the climb. Players must also decide what type of customers they want: the athletic, fairly competent climbers, or the wealthier and more prestigious amateurs. Climbing with one tourist in tow is easy, but the key to victory lies in guiding whole groups. Unfortunately, the more people you take with you, the higher the likelihood is of something going wrong. Also, as it is in the mountains, the weather will be a crucial factor. If a player can coordinate an expedition that avoids a crisis at the peak, he should be able to lead the happy tourists back to base.  Who will become the best Himalayan guide? 2-5 players Ages 10 to adult 60 minutes playing time

BETWEEN TWO CASTLES – ESSENTIAL EDITION

Between Two Castles – Essential Edition is a competitive drafting, tile-placement game for 1-8 players designed by Ben Rosset and Matthew O’Malley. It plays in about 45-60 minutes. The Essential Edition combines the original game (132237) and the Secrets & Soirees expansion (218603) into one box. HOW TO PLAY The king demands a castle! You are a world-renowned master builder who has been asked by the king to help design his castles. Projects of such significance require the expertise of more than one person, so for each assignment you are paired with another master builder to execute your grandiose plans. Will your planning and partnership skills be enough to design the most impressive castles in the world? Between Two Castles is a competitive tile-drafting game in which each tile is a room in a castle. You work together with the player on your left to design one castle, and with the player on your right on another castle. On each turn you select two tiles from your hand, reveal them, then work with your partners to place them. At the end of the game, each castle is scored. Your personal final score is the lower of the scores of the two castles you helped design, and the player with the highest final score wins the game. To win, you have to share your attention between two castles.

ULTIMATE WEREWOLF LEGACY

In Ultimate Werewolf, players are given secret roles and asked to find whom among them are werewolves. Meanwhile the players who are werewolves are trying to get rid of everyone else in the village before they are discovered. With a variety of special-powered roles thrown in, games require players to be alert and to deduce the actions of all of the other players in order to survive and win. Ultimate Werewolf Legacy raises the tension and increases the impact of decisions made by the players, as everything that happens will impact future games. Players are each given a public Family Card in addition to their secret role card, and will team up with the other members of their family to work together…unless one or more of their family members is secretly working against them. Players can earn special abilities that carry over between games as well. The Legacy aspect of the game isn’t limited to player evolution, however, as the village itself will change over time base on both the decisions of the players and the outcomes of each game session. There are multiple paths that the game may take, and as a result the experience you have playing through the entire game will be different than someone else who is playing with another set of people. This also allows players to play through the campaign multiple times, with a different set of roles, rules, and environments each time. At the center of Ultimate Werewolf Legacyis the oversized, 80+ page Diary, which walks the game moderator through every session. The Diary has been designed so that players with no previous werewolf playing experience can both play and moderate. The Diary is structured into 5 distinct chapters with 3 game sessions in each chapter, as well as an introductory Preface game session. Players can jump in and out for individual sessions, but they’ll have the most fun if they player all the sessions in a chapter. Each chapter can be played in a single evening. At the end of the 16 game session campaign, the Diary will be a record of exactly what happened in your village, and who was ultimately responsible for what it became over time. For players who have already played through the campaign, they can purchase a Replay pack, which includes a fresh diary and an additional set of Family cards, allowing them to play through the entire campaign again. Ultimate Werewolf Legacy was co-designed by Ted Alspach, (Ultimate Werewolf, Werewords, and One Night Ultimate Werewolf) and Rob Daviau (Pandemic Legacy, Seafall, Betrayal Legacy, and Mountains of Madness).

MUSEUM

It’s the turn of the 20th century, the golden age of museums. As interest in and accessibility of museums grew exponentially, many institutions underwent an intense period of expansion on both an intellectual and physical level, searching to grow their collections for profit and science. You play as a curator of one such museum and it’s your job to build the biggest, most coherent collection that you can in this game of collection and bartering featuring over 300 individual illustrations by Vincent Dutrait and authentic architectural facts. But it’s no simple task! Each player in Museum has a small collection of relics to get them started, after which, they will have to send explorers around the world to uncover others. These relics each have a value which is either the cost to add them to your museum, or how much they contribute towards adding other relics to your museum. “Spent” Relics are added to your reserve. You can withdraw them from it by exchanging them for an equal amount of items however your opponents also has access to your reserve! During the game you will be required to assemble different collections. These can be from different categories (war, agriculture, architecture, etc) or periods (Ancient Egypt, Rome, Aztec, etc). Patron cards will give you bonus cards for amassing certain collections. Explorer cards will allow you to hire famous archeologists to confer bonuses to your museum and event cards will provide you with some game changing circumstances that you’ll have to work around, based on historical events! All these different elements make compiling your collection an interesting and sometimes tricky experience! At the end of the game points are scored based on collections and their value and the player with the most points wins!
