Enter the thrilling world of tabletop gaming with the ultimate sci-fi skirmish game – Kill Team. This starter set is packed with everything you need to take your first steps into Kill Team, making it ideal for sharing with a friend, or gifting to someone you'd like to introduce to your favourite game. If you want to level up the experience, augment your set with some terrain like that found in Killzone Octarius.

The new edition of Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team has been redesigned from the ground up as the greatest tabletop skirmish experience yet, and the Kill Team: Starter Set is the perfect place to start your campaign of clandestine missions. This epic boxed set includes two full kill teams – Veteran Guardsmen of the Death Korps of Krieg and cunning Ork Kommandos – alongside all the rules and accessories you need to start playing.

In this box you'll find:

1x 96-page mini Core Rules: Learn your way around the brand new Kill Team with this tome of clear, concise rules for matched play, open play, and narrative play missions.

1x 56 page Recruit book: Discover the background behind the kill teams included in the box, including rules for fielding them in games of Kill Team and a host of missions set designed to teach you the core principles of Kill Team, before a Next Steps section which provides a helpful guide to building on and expanding your Kill Team experience.

22x Citadel Miniatures: Two full kill teams of Veteran Guardsmen and Ork Kommandos form the heart of war zone Octarius, each featuring a wide array of customisation and alternate assembly options. Extra detail parts allow for deep personalisation of your kill team, with many models able to be assembled as multiple different kinds of operative. Each team also comes with a full transfer sheet with over 400 markings and emblems for customising your models.

6x Kill Team Barricades and 6 pieces of Ork terrain: Scenery is a key part of Kill Team, and the rusted Ork scrap gives players a quick way to learn the terrain rules, while barricades are integral to the setup of each battle.

3x Combat Gauges: The new edition of Kill Team uses a simplified measurement system to create fast, dynamic games. These combat gauges feature the new system’s symbols and are perfect for slotting into narrow gaps between operatives when a regular tape measure would be too cumbersome.

Additional Accessories: Get straight into the game with a double-sided game mat, a Kill Team token sheet containing 85 tokens, and 10 dice.

These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.

SOULBLIGHT GRAVELORDS: NECROMANCER

Necromancers are widely regarded as twisted and corrupt individuals who are obsessed with death and the avoidance of it at all costs. They are used (for they are rarely their own master) by Vampires to animate the broken corpses of their servants and return them to battle. To learn such dark magic, these desperate men will seek out a Necromancer or a Vampire to teach them, though this task is not without its own dangers and many aspirants have found themselves dying a grim death at the hands (or fangs) of their would-be tutor. Those that do survive invariably become powerful spell-casters, though their sanity is forever broken by the horrors they have witnessed. This plastic kit contains one Necromancer - a finely detailed kit that comes in six components and is supplied with a 32mm round base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly - we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Paints.

IDONETH: AKHELIAN ALLOPEX

Key Features Sinister and bloodthirsty bond-beast of the Akhelian Guard Its riders are armed with blade and harpoon launcher Attacks with teeth and fin-mounted blades At first they appear as spectral blurs in the ethersea, distant streamlined shapes that seem to materialise from nowhere. With powerful thrusts of their sickle-finned tails, the forms grow all too quickly as they launch their attack. Sleek, muscular and built for dealing death, Allopexes are legendary predators of the deep oceans. Attracted to blood, they feed upon anything they can fit into their large jaws. The mouth of an Allopex is lined with serrated triangular teeth, razor-edged saws which can bite man-sized holes in prey. With blades attached to their fins and riders manning harpoon launchers atop their backs, the Allopex is a living weapon of war. This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble an Akhelian Allopex. A large, fierce-looking bond-beast with a shark-like silhouette, its fins are modified with sharp blades and its head and eyes covered with metal armour, to facilitate its control by its riders. 2 Akhelian Guard mount the beast – the foremost clutches the reins in his left hand, with a barbed blade (or optional barbed hook) in his right ready to cut down any nearby enemy who survives the attentions of the Allopex’s ferocious bite. Behind him stands a Guard manning the razorshell harpoon launcher atop a specially-built platform – this can optionally be built as a retarius net launcher, both options equally devastating and featuring a cache of harpoons behind the weapon. The pilot features a helmet with no crest – allowing the harpoon launcher a clear shot – and the gunner, almost seeming to make up for this, features a particularly large crest; both feature the heavy plate and bare arms that typify the Akhelian Guard. You have the option to model the Allopex with mouth closed or open, and a selection of accessories – fishing net, rope and grapple hook, fiasco bottles, normal bottles and bottle and case – used to decorate the creature and base. This kit comes as 47 components, and is supplied with a Citadel 90mm Oval base & flying stand.

ORKS: BIG'ED BOSSBUNKA

Key Features A scrapped Ork Gargant head provides an excellent command post Garrison a warboss and boys behind the scrap metal armour of this Fortification Toast your enemies with the Gaze of Gork Ork warbosses are usually stationary for only two reasons. One is when they are giving an enemy – or an unlucky grot – a good hiding, and the other is when they are shouting at their Boyz to give the foe a good krumpin'. The Big'ed Bossbunka provides the perfect place to holler from given its bosspole, which is outfitted with a very loud PA system.  Constructed from the head of a repurposed Ork Gargant, the Big'ed Bossbunker gives your Warboss a way of directing the many rowdy Boyz under his command. If they misbehave, or if anyone attempts to unseat the Warboss, they will need to contend with a slew of shots from the Big'ed Bossbunker's big shoota and the Gaze of Gork – a weapon constructed from a jet engine that has been bashed into one of the Gargant's eyes. This multi-part plastic kit is comprised of 27 components, and can be assembled into one Big'ed Bossbunker. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.

BLOOD BOWL: SEVENS PITCH

Key Features Smaller pitch for half-sized games of Sevens Reversible board and downsized matching dugouts   Amateur games of Blood Bowl are often played on a smaller pitch, with fewer players. A quick game of Sevens is a well-loved way to settle a grudge, pass the time, or take out business and romantic rivals with a convenient 'accident'. Even professional teams occasionally play a game of Sevens to stay sharp or as a charity event. As Blood Bowl Sevens is played with fewer players on each team, it makes sense that the pitch is reduced in size too. As such, some pitches are smaller than standard Blood Bowl regulations dictate, designed specifically for use when playing games of Sevens. This simplified version of the game is ideal for younger players, busy coaches, or anyone looking to get into the game with a shallower learning curve. This reversible Blood Bowl pitch features a standard turf field on one side and astrogranite tiles on the reverse. Though the size is reduced, all the standard markings are present and accounted for. You'll also find a pair of matching double-sided dugouts to complete the theme. Redesigned for games of Sevens, each dugout features a shorter Score, Turn, and Re-roll tracker, plus Reserves, Knocked-out, and Casualty boxes. You'll need a copy of both Blood Bowl – The Official Rules and the Death Zone supplement to use this pitch.
