HORUS HERESY: SOLAR AUXILIA BATTLEGROUP

The Solar Auxilia are the most elite division of the Imperial Army, mortal soldiers trained to fight in alien atmospheres, toxic death zones, and even the cold vacuum of space – the most hazardous battlefields of the Great Crusade. Equipped with sophisticated wargear and sealed environmental armour, the Auxilia are recruited from across the Imperium's many conquests, chosen for a mix of skill, discipline, and raw aggression. As the Age of Darkness sweeps across the stars, the countless cohorts of the Solar Auxilia must each declare their allegiance – honour their Warmaster, or stand with their Emperor?

This battlegroup makes a fantastic foundation for a new Solar Auxilia army, or a great way to reinforce your collection with new plastic miniatures. The infantry core of this battle group is 20 Solar Auxilia troopers armed with lasrifles and bayonets, led by a prestigious Auxilia Captain and his Tactical Command Section of four Companions. They're carried to battle in a massive Dracosan Armoured Transport, and supported with firepower from an Aethon Heavy Sentinel and an environmentally-sealed Leman Russ Strike Tank.

These new kits offer loads of wargear and cosmetic options, allowing you to customise your troops and tanks as you desire. They also come with new Solar Auxilia transfer sheets, providing you with plenty of optional squad markings and iconography.

This set includes the following:
– 20x Solar Auxilia Rifle Section miniatures
– 5x Solar Auxilia Tactical Command Section miniatures
– 1x Aethon Heavy Sentinel
– 1x Dracosan Armoured Transport
– 1x Leman Russ Battle Tank
– 2x Solar Auxilia Infantry Transfer Sheets
– 2x Solar Auxilia Vehicle Transfer Sheets

All models are supplied with their appropriate bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.

This incredible box is strictly limited in quantity, meaning once it’s gone, it’s gone – secure yours before it’s too late! The individual miniatures in this set will be available separately at a later date.

IDONETH: AKHELIAN ALLOPEX

Key Features Sinister and bloodthirsty bond-beast of the Akhelian Guard Its riders are armed with blade and harpoon launcher Attacks with teeth and fin-mounted blades At first they appear as spectral blurs in the ethersea, distant streamlined shapes that seem to materialise from nowhere. With powerful thrusts of their sickle-finned tails, the forms grow all too quickly as they launch their attack. Sleek, muscular and built for dealing death, Allopexes are legendary predators of the deep oceans. Attracted to blood, they feed upon anything they can fit into their large jaws. The mouth of an Allopex is lined with serrated triangular teeth, razor-edged saws which can bite man-sized holes in prey. With blades attached to their fins and riders manning harpoon launchers atop their backs, the Allopex is a living weapon of war. This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble an Akhelian Allopex. A large, fierce-looking bond-beast with a shark-like silhouette, its fins are modified with sharp blades and its head and eyes covered with metal armour, to facilitate its control by its riders. 2 Akhelian Guard mount the beast – the foremost clutches the reins in his left hand, with a barbed blade (or optional barbed hook) in his right ready to cut down any nearby enemy who survives the attentions of the Allopex’s ferocious bite. Behind him stands a Guard manning the razorshell harpoon launcher atop a specially-built platform – this can optionally be built as a retarius net launcher, both options equally devastating and featuring a cache of harpoons behind the weapon. The pilot features a helmet with no crest – allowing the harpoon launcher a clear shot – and the gunner, almost seeming to make up for this, features a particularly large crest; both feature the heavy plate and bare arms that typify the Akhelian Guard. You have the option to model the Allopex with mouth closed or open, and a selection of accessories – fishing net, rope and grapple hook, fiasco bottles, normal bottles and bottle and case – used to decorate the creature and base. This kit comes as 47 components, and is supplied with a Citadel 90mm Oval base & flying stand.

These kill teams, as they are known, are picked from the most capable and independent of their kind, using strange and esoteric skills to achieve what a mighty army could not. The new edition of Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team has been redesigned from the ground up as the greatest tabletop skirmish experience yet, seeing teams of experienced operatives engage in vicious close-quarters combat as they race to complete their missions. In this book you'll find the complete rules for playing Kill Team as well as a host of missions to embark on, lore covering the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium, and insight on the factions vying for dominance among the shadows.   The Book This 144-page book is the ultimate companion for kill team commanders, containing all the knowledge you need to collect, build, paint, and play in the world of Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team. Ten Thousand Years of War The book opens with a summary of the 41st Millennium’s history, including details on the Imperium’s massive military might and the forces they encounter in their ceaseless wars across the galaxy. It also introduces kill teams, the squads players command in the course of the game, and details their continued deployment across myriad war zones throughout the galaxy.   Core Rules The first rules section contains the core concepts you need to start fighting battles in Kill Team, including the tools required, phases of play, and operative datasheets.   Killzones Here you'll find rules and guidance on how terrain interacts with your games, including example board arrangements, as well as rules governing movement around, over, and through your scenery.   Ways to Play Once you've got the basics squared away, find out all about the three core ways to play the game and the missions you can undertake.   Open Play A free-form style of play suitable for those new to Kill Team, and a perfect place to practice in a relaxed mission environment. It’s not just for newer players, though, as experienced commanders can use the included mission creation rules to craft thematic and expansive games fit for the most hardened veterans.   Matched Play As the most mechanically balanced style of play, matched play games are a chance for commanders to pit themselves against their opponents in battles of tactical skill and turn-by-turn decisions. With each kill team using only the core weapons and equipment on their datasheet, players will need to plan ahead to outsmart their foe and claim victory.   Spec Ops Narrative Play The narrative campaigns detailed in the brand new Spec Ops rules allow you to take your kill team from a band of raw recruits to experienced veterans, earning accolades and special skills along the way. As teams complete objectives and earn rewards – even against opponents not participating in a Spec Ops campaign – decisions made will impact the future of your operatives and turn regular games into a rich narrative experience full of cinematic moments.   Critical Operations Mission Pack A selection of 9 exciting missions designed to be balanced for matched play games, but equally playable in open play and Spec Ops narrative play games.   Tac Ops A suite of selectable secondary objectives used across a number of mission types. Tac Ops are hidden from your opponent, so commanders can decide on their strategy ahead of time while watching out for their foe’s actions on the battlefield.   Appendix The book closes out with a handy reference section packed with special rules and abilities, as well as an overview of the different tokens, counters, and accessories used in games of Kill Team.
