TOTALLY RENAMED SPY GAME

Imagine, just once, luring the master spy into your lair and putting a bullet in his head. Imagine resisting the urge to gloat over your prize, to tell him your secret plans, to let him escape certain death and blow up your lair in the process. Imagine winning.   Yeah, right.   James Ernest’s Totally Renamed Spy Game is a long-awaited remake of Before I Kill You, Mister Bond. The new edition has glorious full-color artwork, high-quality production values, and the improved game mechanics you’ve come to expect from James Ernest’s color upgrades.   Players take the roles of super-villains, earning points by luring secret agents into their dastardly lairs, taunting them with deadly devices, and then killing them. Sure, you could kill a spy without taunting him, but he’s not worth nearly as many points. It hardly matters that he will destroy everything if he escapes. You’ll still have time to build another mysterious island.

NEMETON

Under a vile curse, the forest is slowly dying. A few druids, last guardians of this green and endangered kingdom, answer the call of the helpless animals. Save the forest and become its protector! In Nemeton, you have ten moons (ten turns) to explore the forest, create new potions, and summon the spirit of animals to earn as many reputation points as possible. A player's turn has four phases — night, dawn, day, and dusk — then the next player takes their turn. At night, the druid summons the power of the moon to grow sacred plant essences in the forest. The player adds a “Forest” tile to the existing forest on the “Moon” side. Once the tile is placed, the player checks if he can link it in a straight line with another “Forest” tile of the same type (river, clearing, rock or earth), in any direction. The player then places the resources of a certain type on the activated tiles. At dawn, the player turns over the "Forest" tile he just placed on the "Day" side. He can now discover a path leading to a sacred place: an Oak, a spring, or a Nemeton. If it’s the case, the player picks the corresponding "Sacred place" tile in the reserve and adds it to the forest by connecting it to the tile he just added. By day, the player will move the druid to take the proper course of action depending on the "Forest" tiles on which he is walking: gathering all the resources on a simple tile, creating potions with those resources near a Nemeton, or earning the trust of animals.Exploring the forest isn’t easy. When moving forward, a druid can use a power to take winding paths and change directions or enjoy a boost in movements that go in a straight line. However, the player will have to choose between resting and getting back the power to move forward or getting a triskel to earn more points. If he wishes, the druid can use a sacred plant, the archangel plant, to turn into a crow and to fly to any "Oak" tile on the board. He can summon the spirit of an animal to obtain its special powers and then use them during a special move (swap a resource, find a shortcut, etc.) At dusk, if the druid helped to heal the forest by successfully doing virtuous deeds, he puts his token on the accomplished goal, giving him one more resource as well as bonus points at the end of the game if he is the first of the players to do so. Once his turn is over, it‘s the turn of the next player until all players have laid down their 10 "Forest" tiles. Then the players must count their reputation points:Each potion gives the points indicated on the card. The goals show the number of points given. The animals give points depending on the different streaks. Each triskel gives two points. The player with the most reputation points wins the game.

PALACE OF MAD KING LUDWIG

King Ludwig II of Bavaria has called all great architects to design his greatest achievement: a world-renowned palace. Only the best will do! Gorgeous appointments, white stone, surrounded by water, with swans everywhere. Oh, and the Ludwig touch? All the architects must design the palace together. The designer who shows the strongest influence will receive the order to build it. In The Palace of Mad King Ludwig, each player builds rooms one at a time in a single gigantic palace. As rooms are completed, a moat slowly forms around the outside. Once the ends of the moat connect, the palace is finished, and the player who has contributed the most to the palace wins! This sequel to Castles of Mad King Ludwig shares a few similarities to its predecessor, such as tile-laying, room rewards, and the magic of watching a unique palace take shape through the course of the game, but the gameplay is entirely different, with no auction, a clever endgame timer that graphically builds pressure for players as the moat slowly closes in around the palace, and a twist on resource management with multi-colored swan tokens being used as currency, points, and the keys to new abilities. 2-4 playersAges 12 to adult75 minutes playing time

GHOSTBUSTERS - THE CARD GAME

Who you gonna call? Compete against friends and family in Ghostbusters: The Card Game to collect ghosts from the Ghostbusters universe. You'll call upon your favorite Ghostbusters to help you set your ghost trap and capture the highest point ghosts on the board. The game is played over three rounds. In each round, players take turns, beginning with the start player and continuing in clockwise order, until all twelve cards from the circle have been captured. On your turn, carry out these three steps: 1. Take up to two actions, either playing or discarding an action card for each action as you choose. When you play an action card, you carry out its effect, then discard it; when you discard an action card, place it on the discard pile, then draw a new action card. If any ghosts you've already captured have action abilities, you may use those during this step, in addition to your two actions. Each ghost's ability can be used only once per round. 2. Capture the ghost card that the ghost trap is in front of, but only if you played at least one action card this turn. Take that ghost card and place it in your player area with any other ghosts you've already captured, then move the ghost trap to the next ghost card in the circle — either clockwise or counterclockwise depending on the current direction of play. 3. Refill your hand to three action cards. The round ends when the last ghost card remaining in the circle has been captured. To prepare for the next round, deal twelve more cards from the top of the ghost deck to form a new circle, and reset the ghost trap to the top of the circle. The game ends after three complete rounds, then players calculate their score for captured ghost cards.

MUSEUM

It’s the turn of the 20th century, the golden age of museums. As interest in and accessibility of museums grew exponentially, many institutions underwent an intense period of expansion on both an intellectual and physical level, searching to grow their collections for profit and science. You play as a curator of one such museum and it’s your job to build the biggest, most coherent collection that you can in this game of collection and bartering featuring over 300 individual illustrations by Vincent Dutrait and authentic architectural facts. But it’s no simple task! Each player in Museum has a small collection of relics to get them started, after which, they will have to send explorers around the world to uncover others. These relics each have a value which is either the cost to add them to your museum, or how much they contribute towards adding other relics to your museum. “Spent” Relics are added to your reserve. You can withdraw them from it by exchanging them for an equal amount of items however your opponents also has access to your reserve! During the game you will be required to assemble different collections. These can be from different categories (war, agriculture, architecture, etc) or periods (Ancient Egypt, Rome, Aztec, etc). Patron cards will give you bonus cards for amassing certain collections. Explorer cards will allow you to hire famous archeologists to confer bonuses to your museum and event cards will provide you with some game changing circumstances that you’ll have to work around, based on historical events! All these different elements make compiling your collection an interesting and sometimes tricky experience! At the end of the game points are scored based on collections and their value and the player with the most points wins!
